GIABUNG.. a small village in kinnaur

My work takes me to the places which I always dreamed off. 

This small village in the remote of Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh is not just a producer of apples which is supplied to all over the country. It is also one of the most serene and beautiful places I had visited so far. The aura of the village will make u fall in love with it as it offers you a peace of mind from your stressful life. The culture of Giabung is very simple yet traditional. The people of the village are very humble and friendly, they will help you out in what ever the way they can.

The lush green apple orchards in between the village will grab your attention. The noise of river flowing down there feels like as if it is calling you. The scenery of the village itself is so alluring with a monastery, apple orchards, beautiful homes which includes both old traditional type home along with new kind of luxurious home. A bridge connects the two sides of the village. The painting in the monastery which is made by army soldiers is a treat to an eye for every art lover.

People of this region follow both religion ie Hinduism and Buddhism sincerely. On one hand they believe in ‘Devtas’ of Hindus while, on other they read and worship ‘Kangyur’ and ‘Tangyur’ which are holy books of Buddhism in their monastery
